Context & Challenge

JICA's “Dawn of Hope” set out to tell the story of CHPS (Community-based Health Planning and Services) compounds bringing primary health care closer to rural communities in the Upper West Region. The challenge was a familiar one in development communication: real, measurable progress that lived mostly in reports and datasets, and needed to reach — and move — a much wider human audience.

Our Role

VALUECOMM was engaged to translate the programme's health data into a communication package built for real audiences, and to produce the documentary that carried the story.

Strategic Approach

We led with the human narrative rather than the numbers, letting the data support a story about people and communities instead of the other way round — the audience-first discipline that development work demands.

One hopeful, human story of care reaching further — carried consistently from a printed poster in a community to a documentary and a social feed.

What We Delivered

  • Outdoor posters built around a single campaign key visual
  • Data storytelling and infographic design
  • A social media series
  • End-to-end production of the documentary video

Execution

Delivered as an integrated package — key visual, print, data storytelling and film produced to one consistent narrative and visual system.

Result / Impact

A cohesive, human-centred communication set that carried the programme's story from community posters to a broadcast-quality documentary — turning hard health data into a narrative audiences could feel.
